The Hotel Grande Bretagne, a historic landmark in the heart of Europe’s historic capital Athens, has earned the prestigious World Travel Awards in two important categories. The luxury and upscale hotel has been recognized as Greece’s Leading Hotel and also received the Greece’s Leading Hotel Suite award for its Presidential Suite.
The World Travel Awards — hailed as the “Oscars” of the travel industry — were announced during a dazzling ceremony at the Forte Village Resort in Sardinia, Italy, in early September. Established in 1993, the World Travel Awards acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across all key sectors of the tourism industry.
“The Hotel Grande Bretagne will carry on creating exceptional, indigenous experiences for its guests and remaining an eternal reference point for the country’s and city’s political, economic and social life” the hotel’s management said in an announcement.
The World Travel Awards brand is recognised globally as the ultimate hallmark of quality, with winners setting the benchmark to which all others aspire.
