‘Greek Gastronomy Guide’ Marks Six Months of Taste
It’s true… a person’s heart is through his stomach, and that’s what the Greek Gastronomy Guide is out to do: make you fall in love with Greece not through its picturesque villages, stunning beaches and hospitable people but through its food.
The new Greek/English website marks its six-month birthday and aims to become a tool in the hands of the keen traveler who wants to know where to eat, what to order and how to indulge in the secrets of Greek cuisine.
A labour of love, the Greek Gastronomy Guide was founded by connoisseur George Pittas and journalist Bilio Tsoukala.
The site explores every aspect of Greek cuisine through archival material, ongoing research, taste and trial, and presents its findings in 12 thematic units covering the entire scope of Greek gastronomy from destination and traditions to local products and producers.
In its first months, the guide has covered 23 destinations across the country, posted 500 stories and some 5,000 photographs of Greece’s edible delights.
Start off your summer holiday in Greece through its food… with the Greek Gastronomy Guide.
