FORTHcrs Launches New Credit Management Service to Make Life Easier for Ferry Companies, Travel Agencies

With the new CLM service, the tourism industry gains access to an instant, hassle-free tool that simplifies financial procedures in a safe environment.

Through the new service, ticketing is only allowed if the Unified Credit Limit (UCL) of a travel agency is adequate for issuing requested tickets, while only one deposit or a credit guarantee is needed for the provisioning of the each agency’s UCL.

Moreover, the clearance between an agency and ferry company is possible through the CLM service.

According to FORTHcrs, the CLM service has been designed and is implemented with a view to provide contemporary service to ferry companies and travel agencies, emphasizing on cost and operations management.

openseasBy adopting the new service, ferry companies in business with hundreds of agencies will be minimizing the credit risk while the CLM also drives savings on resources and mistakes caused from contract management, deposits as well as clearance and settlement processes. For travel agencies, the new service helps facilitate sales but also reduces the need for liquidity and guarantees — a critical feature these days — as they will have a single credit limit for all sales.

In addition to the benefits of the CLM service, the cash management is done through the systems of two leading banks in Greece and one in Italy, ensuring ease of use for both the ferry companies and travel agencies while optimizing operations and sales processes for both sides.
