Greek Isle Kos Welcomes ‘FVW’ Workshop, German Tourism Pros
FVW, Germany’s leading trade magazine for tourism and business travel, will be holding its annual workshop on the Dodecanese island of Kos between June 29 and July 2.
On the initiative of the South Aegean Region, the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO), and the Kos Hoteliers Association, the FVW workshop 2016 will bring German tour operators, tourism agents, and sector experts to the isle to discuss challenges and solutions that will enrich the tourist product and boost tourism-related revenues.
At the same time, Kos tourism professionals will present the island’s options, new offerings and diversified services. The event aims to provide insight and viable solutions, particularly with regard to reactivating demand and bookings following the negative impact of the refugee crisis and the resultant media coverage. FVW editor-in-chief Klaus Hildebrandt will be the moderator of the event.
“To the ongoing efforts of the South Aegean Region and the Directorate of Tourism towards the enhancement of the island’s image, we add another targeted action aimed at strengthening the German market. Standing by our commitment, we are providing Kos with the tools to help it recover its tourism product,” said Marieta Papavasiliou-Vakiani, vice governor of Tourism, South Aegean Region.
