MSC ‘Orchestra’ Gives Piraeus Thumbs Up as Home Port for 2016
The MSC Cruises Orchestra is one more liner selecting Piraeus as its home port for 2016, the company announced last week.
With a capacity of 3,223 passengers and 1,250 crew, the Orchestra will be visiting the port of Piraeus every Thursday from where it will run its Corfu – Kotor – Venice – Bari – Katakolo – Santorini – Piraeus route through to October.
The Geneva-based Swiss-registered global cruise operator joins Carnival Cruise Line (with the Carnival Vista) in designating Piraeus as its home port for the coming summer season.
Meanwhile, tour operators had the opportunity to visit the MSC Orchestra at the port of Piraeus last week when Top Kinissis, representing MSC Cruises in Greece and Cyprus, offered tours of the luxury liner.
For those wishing to get a taste of MSC Cruises offerings, Top Kinissis Hellas is organizing a mini cruise to Venice and back for three days and two nights this month at friendly rates.
