Persistence, the development of new technologies, dedication to the promotion of Greece and Greek entrepreneurship & tourism were just some of the reasons the “Greek Travel Pages (GTP)” was awarded during a recent special tribute event held at the Athens Technopolis rewarding the Greek brands that continue to this day to make history and contribute to the country’s economy.
Organized by financial magazine The Business Review and the Estia Managers Group, with the support of the Trade and Industry Chamber (EBEA), the Federation of Hellenic Food Industries (SEVT), and the Hellenic Retail Business Association (HRBA), the three-day event paid tribute to Longstanding and Successful Brands.
“It is not only with great pride that we receive this award but with even greater responsibility as we must work even harder and in a more demanding environment towards strengthening our products but also towards ensuring that the image of Destination Greece does it justice,” President and CEO of GTP | DANAE Group, Maria Theofanopoulou, said of the distinction.
In the meantime, visitors and participants had the chance to learn more about the brands and the people that have made history at a parallel photo and poster exhibition which also included popular jingles, slogans to favorite TV ads and brandname catch phrases which stirred plenty of nostalgia for eras past and new beginnings.

Organizers aim to host the event annually in efforts to highlight the contribution of private initiative to the Greek economy and society.
