Tapping into the vast potential of the Athenian Riviera — also known as the Athens’ Gold Coast — will be the focus of a forum to be held at the Astir Palace Hotel in Vouliagmeni this Friday, serving at the same time as the official launch of the three-day “Blue Money Show”.
Titled “Investing in the Athenian Riviera”, the day event will feature 40 speakers who will address issues such as developing real estate along the southeastern coast of Athens, utilizing the area for tourism with emphasis on MICE, medical tourism, sea sports, sailing and gastronomy, developing infrastructure works in this direction, drawing up a strategic plan for growth of the coastal area, creating a master plan for the environmental sustainability of the projects, ensuring the collaboration of all municipalities, the involvement of community and public-private partnerships.
Alternate Tourism Minister Elena Kountoura will be addressing the conference on Friday, to be attended by municipal authorities from the coastal communities, tourism professionals, hoteliers, entrepreneurs and relevant ministry officials.
The event aims to highlight the importance of attracting investment and utilizing the existent high quality tourism options as well as quality offerings in efforts to accelerate the reversal of the negative economic climate in Greece.
