Coffee to start, Greek music to soften the soul, preparation complete with tips, guidelines and long tales by the chef, and finally: let’s taste. That’s what Chios Cooking Lessons are all about with the first Real Chios session running on June 6-11 in the village of Kampos.
Chios-born cook and author Anastasia shares her family secrets and passion for food while helping participants prepare dishes made of the finest Chios and Greek ingredients, including olive oil, organically grown fruits and vegetables, local cheeses and meats, and of course, plenty of wine. At the same time, food buffs will learn more about local herbs as well as nutritional information, customs and traditions.
Once the recipes take form, food lovers will sit together at a monastery-style table, dig in, make merry and dance.
