LOT’s Inaugural Flight from Athens to Warsaw takes off

LOTLOT Polish Airlines‘ first plane from Athens to Warsaw operated its inauguration flight on Thursday.

LOT flies to Athens four times a week with modern Embraer jets every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Departure from Athens is at 04:25 and arrival in Warsaw at 6:15. The return flight from Warsaw is at 22:40 and arrival in Athens at 02:25.

In the summer season, LOT will fly from Athens to Warsaw every day with seven weekly flights.

The new direct service also offers passengers a greater convenience of travelling to other destinations via LOT’s modern Warsaw hub. In just less than an hour travellers can catch connecting flights to other European destinations such as Stockholm, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, London, Paris, Hamburg, Düsseldorf, Luxembourg and Brussels. For example, a trip from Athens to Stockholm via Warsaw, lasts only 5 hours and 50 minutes.

Furthermore, as of this month LOT will fly to Ljubljana, Luxembourg and Kharkov (Ukraine). By the end of March, LOT will operate flights to 18 new destinations, including Tokyo, Nice, Beirut, Kosice (Slovakia) and Palanga (Lithuania).
