South Aegean Region Takes Cyclades, Dodecanese Islands to Iran
Aiming to promote the Aegean islands to the promising market of Iran, the tourism department of the South Aegean Region will take part in a workshop during the Tehran International Tourism Exhibition (TITE) on February 16.
During the event, the island destinations of the Cyclades and the Dodecanese will be introduced to a selected audience of Iran’s tourism enterprises and media. The representatives of the South Aegean Region will also have B2B contacts with local travel agents, tour operators and airline companies.
According to the Vice Governor of Tourism for the Region of South Aegean, Marietta Papavasileiou, the region sees Iran as a target market since it is known for its high-income tourists that tend to travel during the low season.
“This is a unique opportunity to attract tourists from such a market that has great room for growth”, Ms Papavasileiou said in an announcement.
The Tehran International Tourism Exhibition (TITE) will take place February 16-19.
