Gear up for this year’s Parnassos Ski Week through to January 31 at the Parnassos Ski Resort in central Greece, dedicated this year to the future generation of snow-loving athletes.

Marking the 5th edition of World Snow Day, the “Bring Children to the Snow” campaign, organized by the International Ski Federation (FIS) at Parnassos Ski Center aims to get kiddies to explore, enjoy and experience …what else? The snow and learn more about the exhilarating alpine sport.

Activities at Parnassos Ski Resort, the country’s largest, participating in World Snow Day since 2012, include school day trips for free. Youngsters can use the facilities free of charge and will be able to take part in group ski and snowboard lessons at a discount with rental equipment for free.

The fun peaks this weekend with parallel activities including night runs on the mountain, making Greece’s largest snowman, sled rides for the whole family, and a giant slalom tournament as well as ski jumping events, a snowboarding show, tube-sliding competitions and a torch relay. And make sure not to miss the parties.

The fifth edition of FIS World Snow Day is marked across the globe with over 600 events in 42 countries and an estimated 620,000 participants.
