Greece’s Variety Cruises Vies for Best Boutique Cruise Line Award
A Greek owned company, Variety Cruises, is competing against 19 leading operators in the USA Today’s online readers’ choice contest for the Best Boutique Cruise Line.
One of the fastest expanding companies in the small ships niche market, Variety Cruises has since 1968 offered travelers the luxury and exclusivity of small ship cruise travel to unique destinations.
Variety Cruises is competing against leading companies including Crystal Cruises, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises, among others. USA Today editors have selected the 20 nominees based on the excellence of services offered and the choice of exotic destinations. Winners will be announced on Friday at noon.
With a fleet of 12 fully-owned 5- to 36-cabin vessels accommodating up to 72 guests, Variety Cruises sails to unique destinations in Greece, the Adriatic Coast, Turkey, the Seychelles, Costa Rica, Panama, Cuba, Cape Verde and the Canary Islands.
The Greek small ship venture won gold last March in the Best Small Ship Cruise Company category at the annual Tourism Awards. It has also been named Best Small Ships by review site Cruise Critic, Best Cruises for non-cruisers by MSNBC and Best Small Ship Cruises – Greece Reader’s Choice by Conde Nast Traveller.
