Greek Alternate Tourism Minister Elena Kountoura and Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister Dimitris Mardas will attend the 17th Capital Link Forum on “Investing for Growth” in New York on Monday, December 14, according to an announcement by the Tourism Ministry.
The Capital Link Forum is the most important conference in North America that exclusively concerns the promotion of investments in Greece.
Ms Kountoura will take part in a panel discussion on “Investment Opportunities in Tourism & Hospitality” together with Eftichios Vassilakis, Vice Chairman of Aegean Airlines and Dr. Ioannis Kent, CEO of Aquis Hotels & Resorts.
Mr Mardas has been invited to give a keynote address while the forum will also include webcast messages by Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and George Stathakis, Minister of Economy, Development and Tourism.
The ministers will also attend the celebration of Greek Day at the New York Stock Exchange on Tuesday, December 15. Following a reception, the Greek delegation will ring the Closing Bell at the NYSE.
While in New York, the ministers will come in contact with key players in the field of business and tourism and also with representatives of US and Diaspora media.
The ministers will also attend a scheduled meeting with Archbishop Demetrios of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America.
