As every year, the World Travel Market and Philoxenia are main meeting points for Greek tourism professionals. They are the most important tourism exhibitions for all enterprises of the sector.

2015 was a year of turmoil and Greek tourism turned out fine, reducing as much as possible any harmful effects.

The recent elections, along with a steady political and economical environment, raise hopes for an even better outlook in the year to come.

Greece, despite its problems, is starting to establish its brand as a top tourist destination.

Arrivals and revenues are positive and increasing month by month and with continuous hard work they will keep up this way.

Tourism is perhaps the only pillar of growth, the only sector which can boost our economy back to its positive track.

It is a fact that domestic tourism is experiencing tremendous decline and that the side effects are enormous for us all.

Only through constant development and the upgrade of the offered travel experience can we manage to raise the average revenue per visitor and of course extend the tourism season all year round.
