Head of Greek Tourism Confederation Hopes for Stability After Elections in Greece
On the occasion of the upcoming elections on September 20 in Greece, the president of the Greek Tourism Confederation (SETE), Andreas Andreadis, underlined the importance of political stability and the need for the country to implement necessary reforms. SETE is Greece’s main tourism body.
In a statement on Friday, Mr Andreadis said that the upcoming elections must be faced by all with maturity, responsibility and participation.
“The task of the new government will be critical and difficult. We need to implement the commitments undertaken by Greece and bring into force the necessary reforms. Only then can we change the production structure of the country and put forward its comparative advantages, which will give new momentum to our economy”, the statement read.
Mr Andreadis underlined that once again tourism proved that it is one of the most important sectors in the country.
SETE’s president added that it is imperative that the election result forms a stable and courageous government that will be capable and determined to immediately take the next steps to restore growth in the country and allow the Greek people to be optimistic about the future once again.
