GNTO’s #lovingreece Social Media Campaign Deemed a Success
Greek and foreign social media users warmly embraced the call to support Greece in the #lovingreece campaign, launched by the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) in July.
The campaign kicked off in the midst of the difficult period of Greece’s negotiation with its creditors.
Already receiving messages of support for the country from social media users, the GNTO launched the #lovingreece campaign and invited the friends of Greece to express their love for the country by posting messages and photos on the Visit Greece social media channels.
The campaign was deemed a success, as in only the first 24 hours of its launch on July 13, the GNTO’s accounts on Facebook, G+, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest received numerous posts of encouragement for Greece.
According to trendinalia.com, the #lovingreece campaign reached the 24th place of most popular trends in Greece on Facebook in just 24 hours.
