Two-Week Summer Festival Kicks Off at Athens’ National Archaeological Museum
A two-week festival will kick off on Thursday, July 16, at the courtyard of the National Archaeological Museum in Athens and offer Athenians and city visitors a series of free concerts, theater and dance performances and movie screenings.
The festival will run until July 30 and is part of the “Summer in the City 2015” program organized by the Athens Cultural, Sport & Youth Organization (OPANDA).
Renowned Greek artists scheduled to perform include Takis Soukas, Lena Alkaiou, Takis Chrysikakos and Nikos Portokaloglou. Myron Stratis and Isaias Matiaba will open the festival on Thursday, July 16, at 9pm.
The City of Athens Music Ensembles are scheduled to perform and promise unique musical theme nights, while the lovers of the theater, dance and cinema will also enjoy unique performances and screenings in one of the most historic parts of the Greek capital.
