Greek Labour Ministry Receiving Applications for Vocational Training in Tourism
The Labour and Social Solidarity Ministry is receiving applications through to July 30 for its vocational training in tourism program to offer tuition to 8,000 unemployed individuals aged 18-29.
Selected candidates will receive an educational voucher in vocational training and relevant certification in seven areas of specialization.
The project is aimed at providing unemployed university and college graduates with the necessary skills to enter the job market on a competitive level.
Only unemployed individuals registered with Greece’s Manpower Employment Organization (OAED) are eligible. Of the 8,000 candidates, 1,100 will be university or college graduates and 6,900 high-school graduates.
Interested parties can apply online at www.insete-training.gr through to July 30.
The said program was redesigned by the Deputy Minister Rania Antonopoulou in cooperation with the Greek Tourism Confederation (SETE) to provide targeted training and maximize the qualifications of the unemployed through training, counseling and certification. In the meantime, the ministry will create a special register where sector professionals can seek interns.
