Skytrax Names Turkish Airlines Best in Europe for Fifth Consecutive Year

Turkish Airlines was recognized at the 2015 Skytrax World Airline Awards and announced last week at the Paris International Airshow as the “Best Airline in Europe” for the fifth year in a row.

Skytrax World Airline Awards are coveted quality accolades for the world airline industry. Travellers from across the globe take part each year in the world’s largest airline passenger satisfaction survey to decide the award winners.

The airline also won “Best Airline in Southern Europe”, “World’s Best Business Class Airline Lounge”, and “World’s Best Business Class Lounge Dining”.

The awards mark a continued period of success for the airline, which has seen a significant passenger numbers rise compared to the same period last year.

Star Alliance member Turkish Airlines has a fleet of 279 (passenger and cargo) aircraft flying to 274 destinations worldwide with 226 international and 48 domestic.

Airline passengers from more than 105 countries participated in the latest Skytrax awards survey, which covered 245 airlines worldwide, from leading international airlines to smaller domestic carriers.
