SETE Lays Groundwork for Central Macedonia Tourism Boost
In efforts to tune in to the increasing needs of its members, the Greek Tourism Confederation (SETE) held its 3rd regional event on Tuesday, in the northern port city of Thessaloniki, and presented its comprehensive strategic marketing plan for the Central Macedonia Region.
SETE has joined forces with local sector professionals in efforts to promote the tourist offerings of the area as well as to secure a brand name for the region as a whole and its individual destinations based on supply and demand, competition, products on offer or with potential, and communications means through to 2020.
“We will continue to actively support the Greek economy and entrepreneurs throughout Greece. The regional office in Central Macedonia has already completed — as a strategic advisor to the local authorities and businessmen and to the tourism community — a comprehensive roadmap that will highlight and enhance the competitive advantages of the region,” said SETE President Andreas Andreadis.
SETE, the country’s leading tourism body with a network of regional offices in Central Greece, the Ionian Islands, Central Macedonia, the Peloponnese and the Region of the South Aegean, is organizing similar events across the country. Next on the agenda is the Dodecanese island of Rhodes on July 3.
