Transavia Briefs Thessaloniki Travel Agents on New Flights
Thessaloniki-based travel agents and tourism professionals were briefed last week on the new flights by Transavia that cover travel between the Northern Greek city and Paris, France. The presentation took place during an event held in collaboration with Travelport to inform tourism professionals on the airline’s flight connectivity for passengers of Northern Greece.
On May 5, the Dutch low-cost carrier opened a new route from Thessaloniki to Paris Orly, which operates three times a week and with one-way ticket prices starting from as low as 45 euros. Transavia also offers six flights a week from Thessaloniki to Amsterdam during the summer season, as well as codeshare flights with KLM for connections to other cities in Europe, North America and many Asian destinations.
During the event, Transavia announced that it will continue the Thessaloniki-Amsterdam service during the winter season and offer three flights a week.
A member of the Air France-KLM Group, Transavia offers scheduled and charter flights to summer and winter holiday destinations, mainly in Europe and the Mediterranean via its hubs in Paris and Amsterdam.
Transavia flights are distributed via Amadeus, Galileo (Travelport) and Sabre global distribution systems (GDS) and the airline’s website. The Air France-KLM Group in Greece is the General Sales Agent (GSA) of Transavia.
