Ellinair Summer Flights Schedule Takes Off

Greek carrier Ellinair presented its enhanced summer 2015 schedule at a special event held at the Makedonia Palace in Thessaloniki, on Wednesday, with new connections between Greek destinations and hubs abroad, increased flight frequency, competitive rates, and for the first time, six new domestic links.

In 2015, Ellinair aims to handle a total of approximately 1,600 flights abroad.

International flights will serve 28 destinations in Russia, Ukraine, Latvia, Georgia, Kazakhstan directly from Thessaloniki, Corfu, Athens and Heraklion.

For the first time, Ellinair will offer a direct link between Moscow and Athens. The company recently added Thessaloniki-Tbilisi, Thessaloniki-Almaty and Athens-Domodedovo routes to its schedule.

In the meantime, domestic flights, expected to reach 768 in total, will serve seven destinations: Thessaloniki, Athens, Santorini, Mykonos, Heraklion, Rhodes and Zakynthos.

Direct flights from Thessaloniki to Santorini will run five times a week, four times a week to Mykonos and Heraklion, three times a week to Rhodes and twice weekly to Zakynthos.

Direct flights from Athens to Santorini will be available six times a week, four times a week to Mykonos and Heraklion.

A Mouzenidis Group airline, Ellinair handled 400,000 travelers last year.

Established in 2013, Ellinair is part of the Mouzenidis Group, whose interests include Mouzenidis Travel, real estate company Grekodom, medical tourism firm Grekomed, Mouzenidis Intour, four-star hotel Potidea Palace in Halkidiki, CS&R cargo services and EllinYacht renting services.
