The Greek Medical Tourism Council (ELITOUR) has joined forces with UK-based health tourism marketeers Intuition Communication for the promotion of Greece to international markets as an ideal medical tourism destination, it was announced on Tuesday.
ELITOUR will be using Intuition Communication’s vast network to establish Greece’s private health sector as an important player in the international medical tourism market, aiming to involve the country’s health, tourism, insurance, advertising and investment sectors, and lead to growth and jobs.
Intuition Communication is active in private healthcare, medical tourism, medical travel and online publishing including Treatment Abroad and International Medical Travel Journal.
The aim of the agreement, laid out during the International Medical Tourism Journal summit earlier this month, is to create strong synergies with key stakeholders in the industry and exchange knowhow.
A founding member of the Global Healthcare Travel Council, ELITOUR is an Athens-based non-governmental organisation promoting health tourism in Greece, through cooperation with respective bodies abroad on global issues related to medical tourism.
