Foodies and wine connoisseurs will have the chance to indulge in exotic tastes during Sani Gourmet’s “The Silk Road – Part 2” culinary experience to run on May 8-17 at the Sani Resort in the Halkidiki peninsula, northern Greece.
The weeklong event will offer visitors a culinary tour of the Mediterranean, the Middle East and Asia. Guest chefs from China, India, Turkey, Italy, Iran, Georgia and Azerbaijan, will join their Greek colleagues and cook up fabulous feasts with the finest products and the greatest care.
For a decade, Sani Gourmet has come to be associated with gastronomy as a means of cultural exchange and understanding. Besides bringing food and wine lovers together, the event aims to demonstrate through the culinary experience that eating traditions across the Mediterranean and into the East create a bond between cultures.
The visiting chefs will take over the kitchens of the San Resort restaurants and do their magic. Among those participating are Greece’s Tasos Mantis of the Michelin star “Hytra” restaurant, the innovative Anar V. Gasimov from Azerbaijan, India’s Michelin-star-winning Alfred Prasad, Hamid Salimian from Persia, and the creator of Supra Nova – Georgian Nouvelle Cuisine, Tekuna Gachechiladze.
The exact program of events will be announced in the coming weeks.
