Hellenic Seaways has announced that Hydra residents will receive a 50 percent discount on ferry tickets every Tuesday from January 23 until October 31. The discount is valid on the routes Hydra-Piraeus (departing 7:05am) and Piraeus-Hydra (departing 5pm).

According to the CEO of Hellenic Seaways, Antonis Agapitos, the initiative is the first in a series of actions that will follow in the near future and involve the residents of local communities.

“With this initiative, we aim to reward and support the residents of Hydra,” Mr. Agapitos told Hydra Mayor Georgios Koukoudakis during a meeting today.

“Despite the difficult times for the country, Hellenic Seaways will continue with similar actions in recognition of the island communities’ contribution to the development of Greek coastal shipping.”
