Hoteliers to give Virtual Reality Tour of Northern Evia, Greece, at Grekland Panorama
The local hoteliers association of North Evia “enjoyEvia.com” will use virtual reality to introduce their destination to Scandinavians attending the Grekland Panorama trade fair in Stockholm next month.
North Evia’s new “promotional tool” is named the GVR Project (Greek Virtual Reality Project) and has been created by Google Developers Group Thessaloniki.
During the exhibition, the Google Developers Group Thessaloniki’s #cardboardteam, will present a special virtual reality application that will “transfer” potential visitors to destinations of Northern Evia.
Through the Google Cardboard creation users will have the chance to “experience” the paths, the beaches, the views and also enjoy a few hot spots located in Limni, Rovies, Ilia through three dimensional sounds.
“Users will feel as if they are walking through these experiences live,” according to the Google Developers Group Thessaloniki.
The Grekland Panorama will be held on 13-15 February at the Ericsson Globe. The trade show aims to bring together tourism sector professionals from Greece and Scandinavian countries wishing to build bridges and enter future collaborations.
