Greece 100% Hotel Show Set to Take Off with International Hosted Buyers Ready for Action

100hotelshow-1-4100_hotel_logo4_Hoteliers, entrepreneurs and international tourism professionals will have the chance to exchange ideas, concerns and solutions at this year’s 100% Hotel Show, to be inaugurated by Tourism Ministry Secretary General Anastasios Liaskos on 24 January at the MEC exhibition center in Peania, eastern Attica.

The aim of the two-day event is to take the visitor through the development process of the accommodation business from the initial investment all the way to the final placement of the product on the market with arranged meetings between attendees and hosted buyers from Russia, the U.K., Italy, Turkey, Spain, Serbia, Cyprus and France, among others.

Specially designed Meeting Point Areas will give visitors the chance to meet up with field professionals and share ideas and original solutions.

Construction, innovation and renovation are the central themes of this year’s trade fair, focusing on the needs of the hotelier and of professionals in the accommodation and tourism business.

100_Hotel_Design_AwardsParallel to the event, organizers have announced a national architecture competition titled “100% Hotel Design Awards” aiming to highlight the determining role design can play in hotel decoration and renovation. The award ceremony will be held on 26 January, and Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni is expected to visit the expo that same evening.

Parallel events include presentations on gaining from tourism fairs, trends in the European and global economy 2015-16 affecting tourism, Athens as a destination with problems and prospects, the potential of sports tourism, the importance of Greek airports, gastronomy and its role in the strengthening of the Greek tourist product, quality control and management systems, entrepreneurship and its future in Greece.
