Greece4all, Grekland Panorama Back Accessible Tourism

Grekland_accesibility-panoramaGrekland Panorama has joined forces with Amphitriti, a social cooperative enterprise (SCE) active in accessible tourism through the Greece4all online platform, in efforts to inform the Swedish public about specialized tour programs for those interested in accessible infrastructure and services.

The aim of the collaboration is to jointly plan, organize and implement actions that will promote specialized or theme oriented forms of tourism in Greece to the Scandinavian public.

Amphitriti SCE, backed by non-profit Development Partnership Prosvasis, is active through www.greece4all.eu and works to ensure the social and economic integration of vulnerable groups of the population through counseling, educational programs and the provision of information on local, accessible facilities and services for tourists.

According to a 2011 McKinsey report, by 2020, accessible tourism will represent 25 percent of the tourist market. According to the same report, disabled tourists chose to go on holiday during the low season (May, September, October) and spend on average 1.5 times more on their holidays compared to other tourists.

The 2nd Grekland Panorama to be held on 13-15 February 2015 at the Ericsson Globe and organized by North Events will present its plans to promote and inform the public on availability of accessible tourism.

North Events is a specialized communication and consulting agency for the Greek tourism industry active in the greater Scandinavian region.

Greek Travel Pages (GTP) is one of the main media sponsors of the 2nd Grekland Panorama.
