British Airways to Fly Direct to Rhodes and Heraklion in Greece

British Airways_A380-in-sky-landingBritish Airways has officially announced that it will add direct flights to Rhodes and Heraklion in Greece to its 2015 Gatwick summer schedule.

“British Airways continues to expand its route network and puts Greece and the Greek island destinations on the map of high priority for the summer of 2015,” Freddie Stier, director of British Airways in Greece, said.

The British airline will connect London to Rhodes twice a week, every Wednesday and Saturday. Flights will start from 29 April 2015.

As of 26 April 2015, flights connecting London to Heraklion will operate four times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.

The announcement of the direct flights to two of Greece’s very popular destinations, such as Rhodes and Heraklion, are in addition to the airline’s direct flights to Kos and Corfu, which were announced last month.

“These four new destinations will be added to the existing routes of MykonosSantorini and Thessaloniki,” Ms. Stier added.

The flights to both Greek destinations will be operated directly from Gatwick Airport and run until the end of the season.
