WTM 2014: Greece Tourism Partners TUI, Thomas Cook Discuss Plans For 2015
Tourism trends, new cruise programs and aviation issues were at the center of discussions between the secretary general of the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) and international partners at the World Travel Market (WTM) 2014, which opened this week in London.
GNTO Secretary General Panos Livadas met up with representatives of TUI Travel PLC and Thomas Cook Group (TCG) on the sidelines of this year’s WTM to discuss the latest company strategies and other tourism-related issues for the coming season.
For 2015, TUI, which provides travel accommodation to some 2.4 million visitors from European markets, aims to increase bookings to Greece, particularly in view of the extended tourist season.
According to TCG, plans with Greece include investing in online marketing tools and modern digital communication.
WTM 2014 is the leading tourism industry event held in London through to 6 November.
