Grekland Panorama 2015: Stockholm To Welcome Greece Again Next Year

The second edition of Grekland Panorama in Stockholm, Sweden, is expected to attract more visitors and will include many new Greek events for Scandinavians, according to Leonidas Babanis, the general director of North Events communication agency, who announced the event on 23 September at a press conference in Athens.
Grekland Panorama is a dedicated travel and taste fair for Greece and showcases Greek destinations, hotels and tourism enterprises. The main sectors presented at the fair are tourism, gastronomy and culture.
In February 2014, the first Grekland Panorama fair attracted more than 7,000 visitors at the venue Globe Arenas, Annexete, in Stockholm, during the two days the exhibition was open to the public. The fair hosted 115 exhibitors from 22 Greek destinations.
According to North Events, some 1,800 vacation packages to Greece were either purchased or pre-booked by Scandinavians during the fair.
2nd Grekland Panorama
Following the first Grekland Panorama’s major success, next year’s event will take place at Ericsson Globe, the world’s largest spherical building, which covers a total area of 4,200 square meters. Some 10,000 visitors are expected to attend the fair.
The fair will take place from Friday 13 February to Sunday 15 February 2015 and be open to the public with free admission on Saturday and Sunday from 10am until 6pm.
Friday 13 February will be a day dedicated to professionals. Seminars and lectures on various tourism forms (golf, yachting, diving, alternative, health, MICE, luxury and holiday homes) will be available for Greek exhibitors to attend. A networking event named “TravelMatch” will also be on the agenda for Greek professionals that are interested in meeting tour operators from Norway, Denmark and Finland . The official opening ceremony of the fair will also take place on 13 February.
Greek food tasting & theme park for kids
Grekland Panorama will include a rich program of events and activities, especially for families with children.
North Events will team up with GAEA Products, a leading company in the category of Mediterranean Greek cuisine-meze in the international fine foods arena. GAEA Products will be the Exclusive Culinary Partner in Grekland Panorama 2015 and promote Greek gastronomy and traditional Greek products to the Scandinavian public.
Many tasting events of traditional Greek recipes will also take place during the fair with the participation of Sympossio Greek Gourmet Touring, an initiative of Aldemar Hotels that aims to promote Greece’s products and gastronomic culture.
Also, North Events will cooperate with the “Smile of the Child” foundation and include a Greek Mythology and History theme park for children, in an area of 250 sq.m. on the fairgrounds. The event will be held under the auspices of the Municipality of Stockholm.
Grekland Panorama 2015 will be held under the auspices and support of the Greek Tourism Ministry, the Greek National Tourism Organization, theHellenic Chamber of Hotels, the Hellenic Federation of Hoteliers, the Hellenic Association of Travel and Tourist Agencies and the Hellenic-Swedish Chamber of Commerce.
Sponsors and supporters will include leading Scandinavian tour operators that manage more than 70 percent of the Scandinavian traffic to Greece such as Apollo Kuoni, TUI Fritidsresor, Ving, Airtours, Solresor, TEMA, Detur etc.
