Reduced ENFIA Property Tax For Greek Hotels, Rooms-To-Let
The new unified property tax (ENFIA) for all of Greece’s tourist accommodation establishments will be calculated at a reduced rate, the Greek Tourism Ministry announced on 18 September after working with the Finance Ministry on the matter.
According to the announcement, the decision involves all hotels in Greece, including rooms and apartments to let and self catering accommodations.
However, the tourism ministry made it clear that the reduction rate does not apply for fully furnished tourism accommodations (villas for rent).
The ENFIA tax replaces the previous Property Tax (FAP) and the “emergency property tax” EETIDE imposed via electricity bills (infamously referred to as “haratsi”).
