Greece To Receive More Exposure In The UK
The Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) has launched a joint advertising campaign in cooperation with UK-based tour operator BA-BA Holidays to receive more exposure in the British media and through online platforms, Greek tourism website Tornos News recently reported.
The campaign will run from September to December 2014. The GNTO will cover 50 percent of the cost of the campaign (some 36,000 euros), which will include advertorials on flights and/or holidays in Greece. All advertorials will include Greece’s official tourism logo (right) and appear in the print and/or online edition of the British media.
The GNTO will also run a series of promotional messages in regards to flights and/or holidays to Greece in mass-circulation newspapers such as Metro, Evening Standard, etc.
The campaign will also run GNTO banners and include high impact ad placement on selected websites such as Trip Advisor, Magnetic, Skyscanner, Kayak, Expedia, Lastminute, Opodo, etc.
In addition, according to Tornos News, the GNTO office in the UK has renewed its annual subscription (some 3,000 euros) to the Travmedia.com platform. The renewal includes services such as press release distribution, journalist notifications and alerts for Greek events.
