Aegean Airlines In Cyprus Airways Takeover Talks
An Aegean Airlines delegation, led by the company’s vice president Eftychios Vasilakis, arrived in Cyprus on 25 August for talks with the government about the possible takeover of loss-making carrier Cyprus Airways.
The talks had kicked off on Friday 22 August with Ryanair’s chief executive Michael O’Leary.
A total of 15 suitors are interested in Cyprus Airways.
Investors interested in submitting proposals for Cyprus Airways have until the end of August to do so. A shortlist of those submitting non-binding proposals will be drawn up at the end of September.
