Second “Digi.travel” E-Tourism Conference To Be Held In Athens, Greece
The e-tourism conference “Digi.travel” will take place for the second time in Athens, Greece, to raise awareness among Greek professionals on tourism-related developments.
According to organizers Travel Media Applications, this year’s Digi.travel will host a number of international speakers who will focus on the trends of the electronic environment in travel and tourism. The conference will include a session during which a series of successful Greek and foreign case studies will be presented by enterprises and professionals that have excelled in online travel.
“Digital distribution channels (web, mobile devices, interactive TV, etc.) are of particular importance for the distribution of the tourism product and are evolving rapidly on a global level, making it essential for tourism professionals to monitor all developments,” said the managing director of Travel Media Applications, Theodore Koumelis.
This year’s conference will also include an exhibition that will showcase the companies taking part in Digi.travel, so hoteliers and travel agencies can be fully informed by leading experts in the field in regards to the latest developments in e-tourism.
The conference will be held 5-6 December 2014 on the sidelines of the International Tourism Fair Greek Tourism Expo 2014 at the exhibition center Athens Metropolitan Expo.
“The Digi.travel conference adapts perfectly to the vision of the new Greek Tourism Expo that aims to be the tourism industry’s platform for development, business collaborations and awareness,” said the general manager of Leaderexpo-Leadertech, Christoforos Papadiotis.
According to Mr. Papadiotis, the Greek Tourism Expo 2014 plans to gather high-level conferences and parallel events from all sectors of tourism, for the benefit of enterprises and tourism professionals.
Good afternoon,
We are ERASMUS students from Lithuania who are studying recreation and tourism. And we would like to go to this conference as visitors. Do we have to buy tickets or we can go for free?
Sincerely,
Karolina
