TBEX 2014 will take place 23-25 October at the Megaron Athens International Conference Center under the organization of the Municipality of Athens and support of the Greek National Tourism Organization.

Also, during the meeting, Mrs. Kefalogianni and Mr. Kaminis agreed on an even closer cooperation so that Athens will become an independent tourism destination to markets abroad.

Last month, 185,000 more arrivals were recorded in Athens than in June 2013, according to data from Athens International Airport. During the first six months of the year, international arrivals increased by 18.6 percent compared with the same period in 2013.

According to the Association of Greek Tourism Enterprises, this year Athens is expected to welcome 750,000 additional arrivals.
