In Memory of Marios Trivizas
Marios Trivizas, tourism entrepreneur and president of the General Pan-Hellenic Federation of Tourism Enterprises (GEPOET) passed away at the age of 85 on Saturday, 28 June, following recent surgery complications.
Marios was among the pioneers of Greek tourism, through the Kentavros group of companies.
The story of Kentavros began in 1959. It originally operated as a tourist coach company but soon, through high quality services and long term clients, it evolved and today offers various tourism services. In the 1980s the company invested in the construction of the Century Resort in Acharavi, Corfu, and in the 90s, the company entered the conference and incentive travel market.
Marios’ vision will be continued by his son George and grandson Marios, both active in the tourism industry.
His funeral will be held at the cemetery in Kallithea, Athens, on Monday 30 June at 3pm.
The family has requested donations to be made to the Smile of the Child in lieu of wreaths and flowers.
We, at GTP, express our sincere condolences to his family.
