New Greek Tourism Expo To Launch December 2014
A new exhibition that will present Greek tourism and the latest trends of the competitive international tourism environment will take place 5-7 December 2014 at the exhibition center Athens Metropolitan Expo.
According to organizers, Leaderexpo-Leadertech, the well organized and targeted Greek Tourism Expo 2014 is a “new exhibition proposal to the Greek tourism industry.”
The exhibition will display all kinds of classic and alternative tourism options offered by Greece that are of interest not only for domestic tourism but mainly for foreign tourists coming to Greece: Sea tourism, religious and pilgrimage, archaeological and cultural, city break ( urban tourism), congress tourism, medical tourism, sport tourism recreation, culinary tourism and agritourism/ecotourism.
“Meet the Greeks”
For the promotion of Greek tourism abroad and to attract international buyers, travel agencies and other professionals, the organizers of the exhibition will launch the “Meet the Greeks” program that will include many interesting events to promote various local tourist sites and products. B2B meetings between hosted buyers from abroad with Greek exhibitors are also scheduled.
The International Tourism Fair Greek Tourism Expo 2014 will be accompanied by numerous parallel events:
International conference “Greek Tourism in the new era” – The conference will be held by the Commercial and Industrial Chamber of Athens (ACCI) with the participation of representatives from ministries, public institutions, chambers, regions, municipalities, tourism professional organizations, enterprises from Greece and abroad, tourism enterprises, professionals and agencies from Greece and abroad.
1st International Meeting of Chambers – Senior executives of Chambers (Industrial, Commercial and Vocational) from Greece and abroad will participate to highlight the challenges and the problems and propose solutions for the further development of the tourism market.
1st National Meeting of Regions on Tourism Prefects – Mayors and local government officials will participate and propose solutions for the development of Greek tourism.
Forum: Greek Ports & Cruise Ships – The opportunities, dynamics and importance of cruise tourism for Greece will be presented. The forum will focus on the need for changes in infrastructure and services for the operation of home porting and the ways of economic and quality supply of cruise ships.
Greek Gastronomy International Forum – The forum will highlight the possibilities of extroversion of the Greek Enterprises of Traditional Products Business and the Greek local cuisine through tourism. Hotels and restaurants with high quality cuisine from various regions of Greece will present their Greek menu with Mediterranean flavors.
The Greek Tourism Expo 2014 will be held under the auspices of the Greek Shipping Ministry, the Greek National Tourism Organization and the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels. Supporters will include the Hellenic Association of Travel & Tourist Agencies (HATTA) and the Athens Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB).
