Aegean Airlines: New International Destinations For Summer 2014

Aegean_IMG_2353This summer, Greek carrier Aegean Airlines will fly to 14 new destinations from Athens International Airport, aiming to honor its commitment to provide high quality airline services to passengers and boost Greece’s tourism product.

Aegean has already launched flights linking Athens to Marseille and Nantes and also to Hanover and Nuremberg via Thessaloniki.

The airline will soon add 10 more routes connecting the Greek capital to Abu Dhabi (as of 28 May), Amman (as of 12 June), Beirut (as of 6 June), Birmingham (as of 10 June), Catania (as of June 28), Copenhagen (as of 22 May), Hamburg (as of 27 May), Izmir (as of 10 June), Stockholm (as of 31 May) and Zurich (as of 4 June).

Seasonal flights from Athens to Lyon and Manchester have already been launched while the Athens-Venice route will begin as of 22 June.

Thessaloniki

Thessaloniki International Airport "Macedonia"Aegean is also strengthening its network from Thessaloniki to Germany and will begin flights to Cologne, Nuremberg, Berlin and Hannover. The airline already flies to Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Munich and Stuttgart.

An early morning flight to Frankfurt will also launch from Thessaloniki Airport as of 3 June as 5:20am every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

The airline has also resumed its seasonal Thessaloniki-Paris connection for the fourth consecutive year.

In regards to flights from the airline’s regional bases to overseas markets,  Aegean is launching direct connections from Heraklion to Bordeaux as of 14 April.

The airline also has plans to operate direct connections from its bases in Kalamata, Corfu, Kos and Rhodes to international destinations.
