GNTO Supports International Cinematographers Visit To Athens
Athens and Delphi will welcome 50 of the most important cinematographers from 47 countries of the world during the 2014 International Federation of Cinematographers (IMAGO) Annual General Assembly.
The cinematographers will visit Athens and Delphi 24-27 April and have the opportunity to experience Greece’s cultural heritage, natural beauties and also the work of their colleagues of the Greek Society of Cinematographers.
The decision of IMAGO to visit the Greek capital within the framework of its general assembly in Greece coincides with the Greek Tourism Ministry’s plan for Athens to regularly welcome international events.
Speaking at the recent Travel Trade Athens event, Greek Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni said the hosting of such international events helps the Greek capital become, once again, “a city of good news.”
Before their annual general assembly, the international cinematographers of IMAGO will visit Athens and their stay will include a guided tour of the Acropolis Museum and a special welcome dinner, both sponsored by the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO).
The next day, the cinematographers will travel to the European Cultural Center of Delphi where their assembly will take place. The cinematographers will also visit the archeological site of Delphi, one of the most important landmarks of the ancient Greek civilization, and Galaxidi.
