Greek Medical Tourism Gains Ground In Russia
Greece has convinced Russia on its high-quality medical tourism industry, according to the deputy head of the Russian Federal Tourism Agency (Rostourism), Grigory Sarishvili.
Speaking at the “3rd Health Tourism in Greece” meeting and workshop held recently in Moscow, Mr. Sarishvili urged Russians to continue visiting Greece.
During his speech, he said that medical tourism is a new form of alternative tourism and applauded Greece for promoting this form of tourism.
According to a press release, during the workshop, 400 business meetings were held between representatives of 114 Russian enterprises and 15 Greek companies.
Greece’s Public Properties Company also attended the workshop. While giving a speech, the company’s chief executive officer, Grigoris Dounis, informed Russian entrepreneurs that seven Greek properties, ideal for practicing medical-spa tourism, are currently available for sale and long term rental.
The workshop was organized by Tourism Today blog in cooperation with the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) and the Greek Embassy in Moscow.
