Thomas Cook Austria Honors Rhodes For Longtime Collaboration

Leading tour operator Thomas Cook Austria (Neckermann) recently presented the Greek island of Rhodes with an award in honor of the company’s longtime collaboration with the destination.

During a recent promotional event in Vienna, Yiannis Afukatudis, director of Thomas Cook-Neckermann, praised Rhodes for the island’s cooperative tourism professionals and hospitable locals.

“This converts Austrian visitors to Austrian friends not only for Rhodes but also for Thomas Cook-Neckermann. This is a small token of our appreciation, hoping for greater success in the future,” Mr. Afukatudis said.

Haralambos Palogiannidis, director of the Rhodes Tourism Promotion Organization (PROTOUR), received the award on behalf of Rhodes.

“It is an honor to receive this award from Thomas Cook-Neckermann Austria, a company that has contributed so that Rhodes has satisfied tourists and repeat visitors,” he said.
