Greek Seamen To Hold Rolling 48-Hour Strikes Starting 31 March
Greece’s ferry service is expected to be disrupted from Monday, 31 March, as the Pan-Hellenic Seamen’s Federation (PNO) has announced a series of rolling 48-hour strikes in protest of a multi-bill to be submitted to a Parliamentary vote on Sunday.
According to reports, the seamen are objecting to a measure that sees their labor contracts being set through negotiations with individual companies.
Until now the labor contracts of Greek seamen are based on collective contracts agreed between PNO and ferry company owners.
