Rhodes To Get New Air Link With Istanbul, More Turkish Tourists Expected
Rhodes, Greece, will be welcoming more tourists from Turkey this summer thanks to a new direct flight by Turkish airline Bora Jet starting in early June, according to an announcement.
The Rhodes-Istanbul route will operate twice a week and is expected to greatly enhance the tourism development of the popular Greek island. The route will stop in late September.
Bora Jet already operates routes that link Istanbul to Mykonos. These routes will be extended to Rhodes and also Santorini.
The Turkish airline has a total of five aircraft that serves 400,000 passengers annually.
Following a meeting with executives of Bora Jet, the Region of South Aegean announced that it will advertize its Greek islands within the in-flight magazines of the airline to attract more Turkish visitors and highlight the tourism product of the region’s destinations.
