New Bill For Marine Tourism Tabled In Greek Parliament
A new bill for marine tourism was recently tabled in Greek Parliament by the Greek Ministry of Mercantile Marine. The new bill aims to attract more recreational ships, under Greek and foreign flag, in the Greek seas.
The attempt to institutionalize the whole industry of yachting and recreational ships in general is a first for Greece as until now the institutional framework was characterized by defects and obsolete provisions that deprived the country of valuable revenue and lead vessels to neighboring countries such as Turkey and Croatia.
