The fifth edition of the “Sympossio-Greek Gourmet Touring” initiative will begin its culinary journey to Western and Eastern Europe from Stockholm, Sweden, at the Grekland Panorama travel and taste fair on Friday 14 February.
The Sympossio Greek Gourmet Touring is an initiative of Aldemar Hotels that aims to promote Greece’s products and gastronomic culture, along with a positive image of the country.
The 5th Sympossio intends to give the European tourism industry a vibrant and tasteful image of today’s Greece: of a Greece that produces, creates and mainly shares.
This year’s Sympossio will focus on the Greek drink ouzo and the ouzeri*, a place where Greeks meet up to eat, drink and enjoy good conversation. A place where friends get together and share. A place where time seems to stop and we taste delicious appetizers made from the finest raw materials together with people we are close to.

The 5th Sympossio will be supported by the Greek National Tourism Organization for the fourth year. Sponsors include Vodafone, Eden Viaggi, TEZ tour, Tourist – Group of Companies, North Events, Olympus, Barbayanni and ARTEAT.
*Ouzo is an anise-flavored aperitif that is widely consumed in Greece and the ouzeri is a type of Greek tavern where the drink is usually consumed along with mezedes (light meal).
