Discover Greece: An Interactive Greek Tourism Website Launches

Through creative story telling and images of the unexplored side of Greece, the new tourism website Discover Greece intends to “spread the word” on the country’s tourism product to markets abroad.
Private marketing company for Greek tourism Marketing Greece on 10 February presented the new website to Greek tourism professionals at a special event in Athens.
Discover Greece, a high quality interactive platform, has been conceived and modeled on the best practices of the most high-profile international travel sites in terms of tourism product development and destination marketing.
The platform aims to promote Greece to markets abroad as it never has been promoted before to increase tourist inflows into the country.
Unique experiences
Users of the Discover Greece website have access to a fascinating world of images and information for some 120 Greek destinations and over 30 themes.
The new website offers a wide range of unique experiences, which “is exactly what the modern visitor is looking for,” according to the Marketing Greece team.
Greece is presented as a set of unique experiences that unfold to the visitor through 60 high-quality videos, more than 3,000 photographs and some 130,000 words of content in five languages (currently in Greek and English and very soon in French, German and Russian).

The website offers the convenience of choosing a destination to making the final travel arrangements via an integrated booking engine.
Marketing Greece has focused on promoting Greece’s destinations and themes in a way that will fascinate visitors and invite them to discover the beauties of the country up close.
The Discover Greece website is expected to create a global community of supporters of Greek tourism. “A community that will grow every year and contribute to a new record of positive results for our country’s tourism,” said Iosif Parsalis, Marketing Greece’s general director.
