“Greek Breakfast” Menus To Be Featured At 9th HORECA
Crete, Macedonia, Thrace and Corfu will present their versions of “Greek Breakfast” at the 9th International Hotel, Restaurant and Cafe Show HORECA, to take place 7-10 February 2014 at the Metropolitan Expo in Spata.
Following a very successful showing at last year’s HORECA, the “Greek Breakfast” project of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels will make a triumphant return this year, remaining true to its spirit and concept. At the 9th HORECA breakfast options from other areas of Greece will be featured. These menus were developed as a result of new Local Greek Breakfast Agreements signed with several new Greek destinations during the past year.
The destinations of Crete, Macedonia, Thrace and Corfu will highlight their local delicacies and present products already being served in hotels that have agreed to participate in the “Greek Breakfast” program.
It is noted that thanks to the “Greek Breakfast” project, the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels brings together local producers and hotel owners, and urges hotel owners to start offering breakfast options that represent the gastronomic culture and history of each particular area.
Hotels which meet the necessary conditions, with the main criterion being the presence of local delicacies in their breakfast options, receive a Greek Breakfast badge (special sign and buffet tabs).
