Greece Deepens Cooperation With U.S., Israel
Greek Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni recently met in Athens with representatives from Greek-American and American-Jewish organizations active in Greece, Cyprus and Israel to further deepen cooperation to increase tourist traffic to Greece and Israel through joint tourism packages.
“Greece is a safe and welcoming destination,” Mrs. Kefalogianni said to the presidents of the American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association (AHEPA), the American Hellenic Institute (AHI) and the Conference of Presidents of the Major Jewish Organizations (CoP).
The tourism minister analyzed the national plan for tourism and noted that the Greek Government’s purpose is to convince the international community that “Greece keeps its promises and promotes reforms.”
Also discussed was the possibility of launching an air route connecting the three countries (the United States, Greece and Israel).
