Progress Of Greek-Cypriot Gastronomy Project Discussed On Rhodes
Representatives from the Region of South Aegean and the Municipality of Pafos, Cyprus, recently met on Rhodes, Greece, to discuss the status of the “Gastronomy Net” project, share new key findings and identify strategies for implementing further actions.
Gastronomy Net is the acronym of the project “Integrated actions for the development of gastronomy tourism through the promotion of local food traditions, utilizing local products and promoting local cuisine of Dodecanese and Cyprus.”
The Gastronomy Net project, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), is designed to highlight the local food traditions and agricultural products of the South Aegean islands and Pafos.
During the meeting, a detailed presentation on the activities of all partners was held and future actions were planned for the project to continue once the EU funding ends (October 2014).
The next progress meeting of the project will take place in Pafos in Spring 2014.
The Gastronomy Net project is under the Cross-border Cooperation Programme Greece-Cyprus (2007-2013).
